From Monday and across the week of 27th May, we’ll be talking about the UK charity Sightline.
Sightline offer a telephone-based befriending service to visually impaired people in the UK who, for whatever reason, need someone to talk to! However, they are needing more volunteers due to the increasing number of people needing their service.
During the week, we’ll be hearing from the people behind the charity, the volunteers who give up time on a weekly basis to talk to those in need of befriending and the people for whom the charity makes a real difference! More importantly, we’ll provide you with information about how you can help Sightline by volunteering or how you can get help should you feel you need someone to talk to.
The week begins on Monday, from 3 PM in the UK, when Kara and Terry will bring you a special show where, with the help of Sightline staff, they find out about the beginnings, the growth and development of Sightline and begin the campaign!
